Experience
Courtney's passion for both food and writing came at a young age. From writing columns in the school newspaper to devising business plans, she has always enjoyed creating a collaboration between the two subjects. As a chef and food writer, she enjoys writing for Static Media in addition to ghostwriting food blogs and recipes for clients. Since she completed her culinary education, she has worked in the industry for nine years in bakeries, hotels, schools, and residential facilities. Although she specializes in pastry arts, in 2021, she took on a savory cooking position, later advancing to the lead chef position. Currently, she takes private baking orders for her business, making custom cakes and baked goods for customers.
Education
Courtney has an Associate of Science Degree in Baking and Pastry from The International Culinary School at The Art Institute. Some of her courses included Cooking Fundamentals, American Regional Cuisine, and Advanced Baking, which gave her the proficiency to write about cooking and baking topics.
