What's On John Travolta's Menu?
If you're like us, news that John Travolta is the subject of lawsuits just filed by two masseurs accusing him of sexual assault (his lawyer dismisses the allegations as "absurd and ridiculous") leaves you yawning and reaching for another bonbon. What we really want to know is what the beefy actor likes to eat.
Our preliminary research suggests that he's just one of the guys when it comes to chowing down. He was photographed last fall, for instance, with a fistful of french fries and an adjacent burger on the set of Savages, a forthcoming Oliver Stone movie that was filming in Southern California. Also late last year, the British press gleefully reported that a representative of the Scientologistic thespian (whose film credits include Saturday Night Fever, Grease, and Hairspray), who was traveling in the U.K., tried without success to reserve a table on his behalf at a KFC in West Sussex.
More recently, Travolta's wife, actress Kelly Preston, revealed that she and Travolta, inspired by TV shows like Cookie Wars and Cupcake Wars hold regular bake-offs at home, with their friends and family as judges.
But what's Travolta's favorite food? Another culinary web site once ran his recipe for crab quiche, with the note that "John Travolta's favorite dish goes to prove that real men DO eat quiche!" But, well, under present circumstances, we'd prefer to believe other sources which have assured us that his favorite is the rather more macho lasagna alla Bolognese — which is more or less plain old lasagna with meat sauce.
