Vancouver's 3rd Annual Best Of The West Dinner Coming August 7th
On August 7th, the Harmony Arts Festival will host their third annual "Best of the West" dinner event at Ambleside Pier. Thirteen North Shore restaurants will work with thirteen British Columbia wineries, and will compete to win the title "Best of the West 2013," and diners will be able to vote for their favorite food and wine pairing of the night.
Restaurants such as Pier 7 Restaurant + Bar, Bene Sushi, and Fishworks and Canoe Oyster Bar will be participating in the event. Expect to see wineries such as Blue Mountain Vineyard & Cellars, Haywire, and Tantalus Vineyards there as well. In addition to trying the dishes, diners can sample wines at the Similkameen Wineries Association Regional Wine Bar. There will also be live entertainment, of course, since the Harmony Arts Festival has been supporting local artists for twenty-three years with their annual arts and culture events. (This year's artists include Tiller's Folly, The Paperboys, Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra, Spirit of the West, Soulstream, and more.)
Tickets, which cost $100, can be purchased on the phone or picked up at Harmony Arts headquarters. Those who cannot make it to the "Best of the West" dinner could consider "RARE," which is another food event that the festival is hosting on August 8th. Tickets cost $75 and the meal will feature fare from Rodney's Oyster House.
