Trio Of Mario Batali Restaurants Open In Hong Kong
Since the opening of Mario Batali's Lupa on the third floor of the new LHT Tower in Central, Hong Kong, the city's residents have been eagerly awaiting the opening of two additional restaurants by the acclaimed chef.
With restaurants in New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Singapore, Batali's foray into Hong Kong began with the 210-seat Lupa in March, which includes an outdoor terrace.
Lupa's Hong Kong menu includes some classics from Batali's New York location, including escarole walnut, and pecorino salad; ricotta gnocchi with sweet fennel sausage; crispy duck with salsify and saba, and Apician spiced dates with mascarpone.
Carnevino, Batali's Las Vegas Italian steakhouse, is set to open on LHT Tower's fifth floor. Appointed with marble, leather, and wood, Carnevino's menu will feature beef, fish, and poultry, along with appetizers and traditional steakhouse sides.
A third, yet-to-be-named restaurant serving Batali's signature Italian fare is set to open at Hysan Place in Causeway Bay. Currently under construction, Hysan Place is a multi-story office and retail tower set to open at the end of the year.
