Melrose Café Now Offers Classic Continental Breakfast Fare On The Go
In our eating adventures, we have discovered there are two distinct types of breakfast-loving Washingtonians: those who brunch and those who crave protein and a great breakfast early in the a.m. If you fall into the latter group, we suggest you try the new casual breakfast option launched at Melrose Hotel Georgetown. This art deco-inspired hotel oozes Parisian charm, and now both hotel guests and others can enjoy a grab-and-go breakfast in the lobby that they are calling Melrose Café.
This special breakfast service was created to respond to travelers' needs for an affordable, quick breakfast. To make it convenient for early morning flights, meetings, and people on the go, the new dining option will be open from 6-11 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 7-11 a.m. on the weekends.
Melrose Café is a tasty alternative to the coffee-shop-on-every-corner model and offers Lavazza™ coffee to go. You can pair Lavazza's made-to-order coffee drinks like pumpkin pie lattes and caramel macchiatos with house-made granola parfaits and toasted bagels with lox and cream cheese. Indulge your sweet tooth with a selection of danishes, fruit-filled scones, and muffins, as well as buttery croissants and freshly baked savory offerings like the spinach and feta croissants – all from the local Bread & Chocolate bakery.
If you still crave a bigger breakfast, head over to Jardenea and order a hot farm-to-fork breakfast. This quiet spot can accommodate power breakfast sessions for the busy executive and provides all the comforts you expect from a boutique hotel. The dining room is outfitted with ambient lighting, semi-private alcoves, slick leather seating areas, and plug-and-play nooks.
