Hotel Le Crystal Offers Modern Luxury In Montreal
The black and glass tower Hotel Le Crystal in downtown Montreal perfectly combines modern design with luxury. The expansive two-story lobby features beautiful flittering snowball chandeliers, soaring ceilings, red and brown velvet chairs and sofas and a large waterfall wall. Within walking distance are the shops of Rue Sainte-Catherine, antique shops, restaurants and art galleries.
The first eight floors are for hotel guests with above floors housing condominiums.
All of the 131 rooms are suites. Mine was beautiful and spacious and included floor to ceiling views of downtown Montreal, a fireplace, a kitchen filed with a coffee-maker, refrigerator, stove, microwave and kitchen and glassware; plants, light blocking curtains, beige and dark brown accent furniture and a huge bathroom with a soaking tub, double sinks, marble counters and large shower.
In addition to a central location and gorgeous rooms, Hotel Le Crystal also houses an indoor heated big saltwater pool featuring turquoise mosaic tiles. There is also a fantastic small spa, 9,000 square foot fitness center and an outdoor Swedish sauna and hot tub.
The new Siam Centre-ville restaurant features a double story eating area with round romantic booths, wood floors, dramatic round light fixtures, Asian accent statues and décor and a huge outdoor patio eating area with a rectangular bar and a palm and flower painted staircase leading to the street level.
Standout dishes include pork, shrimp, and vegetable deep fried Imperial rolls; chicken and beef satay; coconut shrimp; Tom Kah soup, crisp chicken; beef and green peppercorn; beef, chicken, duck and seafood in a variety of curry sauces, Pad Thai and Rad Na. The cocktail menu is exotic and features libations such as the mango sticky rice with Belvedere vodka, rum, mango puree, lime juice, vanilla syrup and coconut foam and a taro gin fizz with gin, taro syrup, lime juice, egg white, soda and milk.
Hotel Le Crystal offers a perfect modern yet comfortable luxury escape in the heart of Montreal.
