Travel Channel's New Show 'The Best Daym Takeout"

We've watched food television stars tour the country chowing down on delicious and extravagant eats, but we have yet to watch them do it in their cars —until now. The Best Daym Takeout, which premiered Wednesday, July 31st, features Daymon Patterson, who gained an immense fan following on YouTube, leading Travel Channel to recently sign him for a series.

According to the Daily News, Daymon will be looking for the best takeout spots in six big cities, focusing on places where he can watch the preparation and then take his Styrofoam container with him to savor the flavors of their specialties in his car. Travel Channel proudly claims that "Daymon Patterson is not your typical food critic. He's a lot of man with a lot of love — for food and comedy!"

The show debuted July 31st with back-to-back episodes touring New Orleans and Chicago, exploring signature grub from deep dish pizza in Lincoln Park to hot dogs in Norwood. According to Eater, cracking up chefs are saying, "I can't deal with him." Tune in Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on Travel Channel as this voracious food critic takes on more takeout in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Portland, and San Francisco!
