'Top Chef Masters' Season Five Kicks Off With Tasting Event
Bravo TV's fifth season of "Top Chef Masters" premieres Wednesday, July 24, and to celebrate, there is a tasting event open to the public on Tuesday, July 16.
Co-hosted by "Top Chef Masters" host Curtis Stone and new head critic Gail Simmons, the event offers offers a first look at the new season as well as a sampling of some of the dishes seen on the first episode.
Tickets can be purchased online, and all proceeds from the ticket sales will go to City Harvest, the food rescue organization that helps feed more than one million hungry New Yorkers every year.
Eleven critically-acclaimed chefs will be participating, including Franklin Becker, executive chef of The Little Beet in New York, Lynn Crawford, chef/owner of Ruby Watcho and Ruby Eats in Toronto, and Sue Zemanick, executive chef of Gautreau's in New Orleans.
A number of the chefs will recreate and serve dishes featured in the first episode.
