Taco Bell Spices Up Its Wedding Offerings
Taco-bout an awesome nuptial theme. In the one year since Taco Bell began hosting weddings at its its flagship Las Vegas Cantina Restaurant, more than 60 couples have tied the knot there in a very cheesy fashion.
"The desire we have witnessed this year for Taco Bell weddings has exceeded all our expectations," Marisa Thalberg, Chief Brand Officer of Taco Bell, said in a statement. "In just one year, we have had over 60 couples, averaging more than one per week, tie the knot with us at our Las Vegas Cantina. And as we round this anniversary, we are excited to make future ceremonies even bigger and better than before."
One couple flew all the way from China to wed at the Vegas Cantina, and more than 25 weddings are already planned, the statement said. The chain has now expanded its party room at the facility to accommodate twice as many guests as before. A Taco Bell wedding package includes a Taco Bell garter, bow tie, "Just Married" t-shirts, Taco Bell champagne flutes, a Cinnabon-themed wedding cake, and a 12-pack of tacos. Best of all, though, is the sauce packet wedding bouquet that can be borrowed for that walk down the aisle.
Taco Bell fans who don't plan to wed at the cantina can now purchase Taco Bell wedding accessories online, including themed shirts, garters, bow ties and champagne flutes.
