What Actually Happened To Pizza Hut's Discontinued Triple Deckeroni?
By Jessica Fleming-Montoya
Launched in 1997, The Triple Deckeroni was like a pizza on top of a pizza, featuring a thin crust base loaded with cheese and meat and topped off with a second thin crust base.
The second base was topped with whatever veggies and meats you felt like adding. However, after the 90s, the pizza disappeared from the menu, and no one seems to know why.
Although the pizza was popular, it was discontinued after just a few years. Perhaps sales weren't high enough, or the pie's margins weren't good enough to keep it on the menu.
While Pizza Hut determined the pizza to be unworthy of a place on its menu, fans didn't agree. Still, it doesn't seem to have succeeded, as the Triple Deckeroni has yet to return.
