While stabbing the seed of an avocado with a knife and twisting is the common method used to remove a pit from an avocado, there are safer ways to remove the stubborn seed.
Thanks to TikTok star @partyshirt, we now know there's a safer, gadget and blade-free hack to remove an avocado pit using just your hands.
Simply secure the pit between your pointer and index fingers and press the back of the pit through the skin side of the avocado with your thumb.
This hack doesn't just easily get the pit out, but it will also set your mind at ease the next time you're tasked with making guacamole dip or taco fillings.
