Prevent Dry Macaroni Salad With An Easy Trick
By Laura Zbinden
Macaroni salad is the perfect cookout side dish, but because it's usually made the night before, the dish tends to soak up all the creamy dressing, leaving it dry the next day.
Luckily, there is a simple solution — only add half of the macaroni salad dressing the night before, and then add the second half right before serving.
While you could just add the dressing at the last minute before serving, you would lose that signature creamy texture often associated with a macaroni salad.
This hack allows the pasta to soak up some dressing in the fridge, which is important for the noodles and vegetables to develop a good flavor.
