America's Largest Buffet Is In An Unexpected Spot

Las Vegas has been an epicenter for buffets in America for decades, but the largest buffet in the U.S. is actually nowhere near Nevada. Instead, it’s in Pennsylvania Dutch Country.
With a 200-foot buffet, Shady Maple Smorgasbod in Lancaster, PA features classic American-style food like smoked chicken, BBQ ribs, steak, sausages, fried shrimp, and potatoes.
Despite the ridiculously large size of the Shady Maple Smorgasbord buffet, it somehow only clocks in at $13-29 depending on when you go.
While Vegas used to be the buffet king, due to the COVID pandemic and casino’s trying to boost profits, there are now only eight buffets on the Strip where there were once 18.
