Food Network’s recipe involves a sliced baguette coated with olive oil, salt, and chopped garlic before being topped with a tomato slice and parmesan cheese and baked.
Pan con tomate, a popular dish in Barcelona, is bread rubbed with a garlic clove and topped with a paste made of grated tomatoes, sliced whole tomatoes, and cherry tomato halves.
