Soul Food Festival Coming To Kansas City This Summer
Grab your forks, knives and dancing shoes, Kansas City, because a Southern celebration is coming our way. The Soul Food Festival is celebrating its 6th year of traveling the country, and on July 13th, it'll be dropping into E.H. Young Park. Local vendors will provide traditional soul food cooking, while guests bring their friends and families to enjoy performances by musicians including Gladys Knight for one of the most anticipated social events in the city.
The official vendor list not being posted yet, but a variety of local food vendors will supply samples of traditional southern cooking, with meats like baby back ribs, sliders, and fried fish, and other classic dishes like macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and corn bread. However, while eating these delicious bites might be the main attraction, there will still be plenty more to do. A market will be set up for guests to purchase items like CDs, shirts and other souvenir items, and there will be an interactive photo booth to commemorate the fun evening. To top the night off, music legends like Gladys Knight, Silk, and Urban Mystic will perform as guests dance the night away. Don't miss a beat or a bite: purchase your tickets today!
