Snackshot Of The Day: Chocolate Chip Cookies

The Daily Meal's editors, contributors, and readers dig into some pretty great restaurants, festivals, and meals. There's not always enough time to give a full review of a restaurant or describe in depth why a place, its food, and the people who prepare it are noteworthy, so Snackshot of the Day does what photographs do best, rely on the image to do most of the talking.

Today's Snackshot is of a tray of homemade chocolate chip cookies. Baking is best in the winter — eating fresh-baked cookies while the snow falls and you're sipping on a mug of hot cocoa is one of the only things that makes freezing temperatures bearable. Plus, with a hot oven warming the house, you'll save money on your bills (not really, don't take my financial advice).
