SideTour Hosts Summer Events In New York City
With the summer in full swing and seemingly endless days of beautiful weather, there is always something fun to do. For those living in New York City, or even those coming for a weekend it can be daunting narrowing down weekend plans. SideTour, an event planning company based in New York, hosts a variety of unique culinary experiences for those looking to experience what the city has to offer.
SideTour released a list of upcoming events ranging in price from $35 to $85 for those looking to make plans this summer in the city. All events are local and feature intimate and unique dining experiences of different varieties for those looking to fill their nights and weekends with something fun.
On July 27, SideTour is hosting an event for beer enthusiasts offering an opportunity to sample a selection of five rare brews from around the world. Cole Schaffer and Ari Stern, the owners of bar turned art studio Culture Fix in the East Village, will host the $40 per person event. Up to twelve seats are available for the one-hour sampling that features one brew that dates back to the 1500's.
Elise Kornack, chef and founder of Take Root – a boutique culinary and yoga studio in Brooklyn, is hosting an artisanal dinner party at her space for up to ten. The event, which runs August 3, 4, 10, 11, and 17 has already sold out for the final date but spaces are available for each other evening. The dinner runs $85 a person and guests will dine on a five-course meal accompanied by an explanation of the chef's inspiration for each dish. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beer and the chef can accommodate anyone requesting a vegetarian option.
For those who don't consider themselves a master chef in the kitchen, you can spend an evening learning how to cook with a more patient chef. Doyal Gauranga is a Bhakti Center monk but also a culinary pro. Gauranga will coach between four and 10 guests through making a four-course vegetarian dinner. For $35 a person, guests will learn cooking techniques that they can use at home. The dinner will be hosted August 17 and August 31 at the Bhakti Center in Manhattan's East Village.
American Master of Wine, Christy Canterbury will host an evening of wine tasting for between 8 and ten guests. Canterbury who is one of 30 American Masters of Wine will offer her guests a selection of eight wines including bubbly, white, rosé and red. For $70 a seat, guests can learn about the nuances of wine and evaluate wine quality on either event date; August 29 and September 13.
SideTour offers a handful of other events this summer and throughout the year with many focused on unique dining experiences. Each experience is designed to provide a special opportunity for guests to enjoy New York is a range of ways.
