Shangri-La Hotel Toronto To Open
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts will open its second hotel in Canada in Toronto this August. Located on the first 17 floors of a new 65-story building on University Avenue, the 202-room Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto will feature iPads in each room, a 24-hour gym with a Refresh Bar, a 20-meter lap pool, and Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie.
Adjacent to the hotel will be Momofuku Toronto, a project that includes four different concept restaurants from David Chang: Noodle Bar, Nikai, Daishō, and Shōtō, which will open its doors later this year.
The Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto will have its own signature restaurant, Bosk. Bosk, which means a small wooded area, will feature a décor of natural oak. The 80-seat restaurant will include a private dining room and an outdoor terrace to be open in the warmer months. Bosk includes a street-level bar with a private dining room that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Guests will be greeted at the entrance with a sculpture by contemporary Chinese artist Zhang Huan and an "urban living room" situated in a three-story atrium that will feature a specially made Fazioli piano. The 90-seat Lobby Lounge will serve food from mid-morning to late night.
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts opened the Shangri-La Vancouver in January 2009.
