Selena Gomez's 21st Birthday

Although she is now of legal drinking age, there wasn't a bar crawl or any tequila shots for pop star Selena Gomez's 21^st birthday July 22.

The "Come & Get It" singer planned to celebrate the big birthday in a low-key manner, reported US Magazine. "I will order a glass of wine," she said. "My mom's a red wine kind of gal."

Gomez is not the type to be seen on the front of a tabloid due to outrageous 21^st birthday antics — she still lives with her parents, even though she has said that "I think it's time" to move out and into her own home.

Gomez is still recovering from her breakup from longtime on-again-off-again boyfriend, Justin Bieber, and the difficulty of dating someone in the public eye. "I learned that I should definitely be way more private next time," said Gomez. "It's hard to just date in this industry... You can't really help who you date," she said. 

With a personal life like that, we think Gomez deserved that glass of red wine.
