Ron Eyester Opens 'Local Pizza Joint,' Timone's
Ron Eyester's Timone's has finally opened, joining the already expansive and eclectic food scene in the Morningside neighborhood of Atlanta, according to Creative Loafing Atlanta.
The 105-seat space is family friendly and has a neighborhood appeal that offers "down-home cooking" and labels itself a "local pizza joint." The food is inspired by Eyester's childhood in New York, so the décor follows suit, accented by tin, subway tile, and a fair amount of reclaimed wood and furniture. The restaurant's bar is composed of high-top tables with a total of 14 seats.
The pizza, in true New York fashion, is made with a thin, chewy, and crispy crust. Options include not only traditional classics like cheese and pepperoni, but also the more adventurous ones like shaved potato, fennel, and house-made Italian sausage. There are also meatball dishes, fried calamari, and even rice balls, so you're not just limited to pizza when you step in here. The bar offers wine and beer, as well as old-fashioned drinks like egg creams, Italian sodas, and cremosas. See what Eyester's new restaurant has to offer the next time you're in Atlanta., atlna
