Restaurant Ad With Jesus Smoking A Joint Stirs Controversy
This definitely wasn't the kind of "high" the Bible talked about when it says that He has risen on Easter Sunday. Lunchbox Laboratory, a Seattle restaurant/burger joint has been stirring up controversy with their Easter Sunday special email advertisement depicting Jesus smoking a joint while also double-fisting a burger, simultaneously celebrating the Catholic holiday and the unofficial marijuana holiday known as 4/20, both of which happen to fall on the same day this year.

The ad offers a buy one get one deal for the famous burgers and depicts Jesus Christ as saying, "When I get back all I want is the burger of the Gods." The number 4/20 in the date of the advertisement is also highlighted in green.
"I'm not your moral compass," owner John Schmidt, admitted family man and practicing Catholic, told Fox News. "We're just trying to sell sandwiches. If you're looking to me for moral direction you're probably misguided."
The email was sent out to 13,000 subscribers according to Fox. The "Burger of the Gods," in case you're wondering, is available for $12.99 and features a beef patty, bleu cheese crumbles, candied balsamic onions, and a super Gorgonzola spread.
