Watermelon Basil Punch

Ingredients
  • 750 milliliter tequila (standard bottle), preferably avion silver
  • 2 pound baby seedless watermelon
  • 3/4 cup sugar (or more if desired)
  • 2 cup basil leaves (leave a few aside for garnish)
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice

Directions
  1. Puree watermelon and sugar in a blender until smooth.
  2. Add sugar and mix until dissolved.
  3. Add basil and blend on low until leaves are broken up.
  4. Strain into pitcher.
  5. Whisk in tequila and lemon juice.
  6. Taste and add more sugar if desired.
  7. Chill until cold, at least one hour.
  8. Serve in ice-filled rocks glasses.
  9. Garnish with basil sprigs and lemon wheels.
