Twist On The Alfonso Cocktail
Adapted from "The Savory Cocktail Book," this cocktail by Brett Hughes, from Madam Geneva, is a dry and delicious way to ring in the New Year!

Ingredients
- 1 angostura bitters soaked sugar cube
- 1 ounce dubonnet rouge aperitif
- 3/4 ounce plymouth gin
- 4 ounce champagne
Directions
- Place cocktail napkin over 6 ounce Champagne flute and place sugar cube on top. Soak sugar cube with 5 dashes of bitters and drop into bottom of glass. Add the gin and Dubonnet then top with the Champagne. Garnish with a beautifully doctored orange twist (or lemon if you prefer).
