Slow-Cooked Maple Ham

Ingredients
- 20 ounce canned pineapple chunks, such as sweet harvest pineapple chunks
- 8 pound smoked ham butt, such as appleton farms smoked ham butt
- 1 cup pure maple syrup, such as selected 100% pure maple syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar, such as baker's corner brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
- Pour entire can of pineapple in bottom of large slow cooker. Place ham on top, flat side down.
- In a small bowl, combine syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, mustard and pepper. Pour over ham.
- Set slow cooker to low and cook for 4-5 hours.
- Remove ham and keep warm. Skim fat off the top of remaining liquid in slow cooker.
- Pour liquid into small saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer, cook until reduced to desired consistency.
