This recipe comes pretty darn close to the Knorr version

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoon seafood redi-base (see notes)
  • 1/2 teaspoon old bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 2 tablespoon heavy cream
Directions
  1. Step 1: In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter; add 2 tablespoons flour to form a roux. Slowly whisk in 2 cups water and 2 teaspoons Seafood Redi-Base until blended.
  2. Step 2: Add 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning, 1 teaspoon paprika and 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil.
  3. Step 3: Remove from heat. Add 2 tablespoons dry sherry and 2 tablespoons heavy cream.
