Ingredients
  • 1 medium tomato, roughly chopped
  • 4 dry guajillo peppers, seeded and cleaned
  • 2 dry ancho chili peppers, seeded and cleaned
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • water
Directions
  1. In a medium sauce pan, combine water, peppers, and tomatoes.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  5. Pour the sauce pan contents and garlic cloves in a blender and blend until smooth.
  6. Season to taste and refrigerate until ready for use.
