Melt the stick of butter by placing it in a saucepan on top of the grill. Remove when boiling.
Place a tray of aluminum foil on a grill. Place the oysters on the tray so that one side of each oyster is resting on the foil. Close the top of the grill.
Once the oysters begin to make a popping noise, check the inside of the grill to see if most have opened up. Once most are open, put on thick gloves and use a fork and shucking knife to remove the oyster from the shell. Dip the roasted oysters into the melted butter.
