Ingredients
- 4 ounce ground beef
- 1 ounce shredded lettuce
- 2 slices of beefsteak tomato
- 1 slice of american cheese
- 2 pickle slices
- mayonnaise
- ketchup
- relish
- mustard
- brioche bun
- butter or olive oil
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Gently press ground beef into a flat disk about 1-inch thick.
- Heat a pat of butter or a teaspoon of oil in a griddle or large skillet over medium heat.
- Halve the brioche bun and place cut-side down in the warm butter or oil.
- Toast until the surface is golden-brown.
- Transfer to a serving plate.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and place beef patty in the hot pan.
- Season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Using a spatula, flip patty to the opposite side.
- Season with salt and pepper, and add the slice of American cheese.
- Cook for another 3 to 5 minutes to your preferred doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, create the Barclays Sauce by combining 1 part mayonnaise, 1 part ketchup, 1 part relish, and 1/3 part of mustard.
- When burger is finished cooking, transfer to plate and assemble burger on toasted brioche bun with Barclays Sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles.
