Ingredients
2 cup whipping cream
herbs, optional
pinch of saffron, optional
grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese, optional
Directions
Take 1-2 cups of whipping cream and put in tall, thin sauce pan (mixture will bubble up so pan should be tall).
Set on medium to medium-high heat. Let the cream boil. If it looks as if it will boil over, take off heat, stir, and lower heat.
As the cream boils, it will start to get thick and it becomes a rich Alfredo sauce.
You’ll know when the sauce is done if you insert a spoon in the sauce, draw a line, and it stays separated.
The sauce can be thinned with some pasta water; add herbs, saffron, or Parmigiano-Reggiano (optional) to elevate the flavor of this Alfredo sauce.
