Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/4 cup (2 ounces) dark rum
  • 1 tablespoon butter, at room temperature
  • freshly grated nutmeg
Directions
  1. Combine sugar and water in a warmed mug.
  2. Stir in rum, then float butter atop and sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.
