Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cup milk, lukewarm
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
- Whisk butter, warm milk and vanilla in a second bowl. Once combined, whisk in egg.
- Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet ingredients. Whisk until combined, making sure not to overmix.
- Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Once warmed, melt a small amount of butter in the pan and add pancake batter a quarter cup at a time, gently spreading but making sure that there's space in between each pancake.
- Once bubbles begin to appear on the surface (about two minutes), flip and finish cooking on the other side (about another minute or two). Work in batches, and keep pancakes warm in a 250 degree oven.
- When finished cooking, stack and top with butter and syrup.
