- 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- butter, for rolling
- shredded coconut, for rolling
Directions
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk into a small saucepan and place the pan over medium-high heat.
- Stirring constantly, cook the sweetened condensed milk until thickened. You’ll know it’s ready when you draw a line through the sweetened condensed milk and it takes a few seconds for the line to fill itself back in.
- Pour the cooked sweetened condensed milk into a wide, shallow dish (like a heat-proof baking dish) and allow it to cool.
- When the sweetened condensed milk has cooled, rub a small amount of butter on your hands and then roll the sweetened condensed milk into small balls. Roll each ball into shredded coconut.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
