Steamed Artichokes With Lemon Butter Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 artichokes
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 medium sized onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, minced
Directions
  1. Remove stems, leaving only 1/2'' at the base of the artichoke. Remive smaller, tougher leaves and cut off tips.
  2. Add artichokes bottoms up in boiling water. Cover and let simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Remove artochokes from water with kitchen tongs.
  4. Serve with lemon butter.
  5. Heat butter in small saucepan on medium heat, until melted.
  6. Remove from heat and add lemon and minced parsley.
