How to make a baked potato perfectly every time

Ingredients
  • 3 russet potatoes, rinsed and scrubbed
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, scallions, bacon bits
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Pierce the potatoes several times on each side with a fork.
  3. Pour olive oil into a bowl and roll potatoes in the oil.
  4. Season all sides of the potato with salt.
  5. Bake directly on the oven rack for 1 hour.
