Alison Sweeney's Blueberry Pineapple Salsa
Salsa recipes don’t have to be tomato-based. Try Alison Sweeney’s blueberry pineapple iteration for a refreshing and simple take on fruit salsa. This fresh fruit salsa uses a lot of the same ingredients as tomato-based salsas, with jalapeños, lime juice, cilantro, and onions — just substitute the tomatoes for fresh fruit.

Ingredients
- 2 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup finely diced fresh pineapple
- 1 jalapeno, seeds and membrane removed, minced
- 2 tablespoon tablespoons lime juice, divided
- ½ teaspoon lime zest
- 3 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- kosher salt, as needed
Directions
- In a bowl, combine blueberries, pineapple, jalapeño, 2 tablespoons of the lime juice, lime zest, cilantro, and red onion. Season with salt and additional lime juice as needed.
- Serve with tortilla chips or as an accompaniment to fish or chicken.
