Pop-Up Pizza Coming To Los Angeles
Supper club Lexington Social House, the iconic restaurant known for its modern American fare at the corner of Hollywood and Vine, is sharing its kitchen with pizziaolo Adam Tomei for its "Pop-Up Pizza Tuesdays" starting May 29.
The native New Yorker and pizza aficionado will be handcrafting wood oven-fired pizzas. Each all-natural and nitrate-free pizza begins with a foundation of organic tomatoes and Tomei's signature dough recipe, which uses "00" (doppio zero) flour from Naples.
The rotating menu of eight- to 10-inch pizzas includes Ode to CB (Pantaleo cheese, sliced red onion, slivered almonds, rosemary, and olive oil), San Gennaro (buffalo mozzarella, smoked mozzarella, sopressata, and ricotta), and saltimbocca (fontina, prosciutto, and sage).
Lexington Social House's executive chef, Jared Simons, is also preparing his own interpretation of seasonal Italian-American-inspired dishes like chicken Parmesan and lasagna. Manga, manga!
