Pig Out At Amada's Endless Suckling Pig Feast
Attention pork enthusiasts: on Sunday, July 21st, clear your schedule and work up an appetite. Amada, Iron Chef Jose Garces' Spanish tapas restaurant in Old City, is celebrating the hog with "Pig Out," an endless suckling pig feast. For $55 for food, or $75 which for food plus bottomless sangria (plus tax and gratuity), guests can help themsleves to all the expertly prepared sucking pig their hearts desire, as well as an array of side dishes.
The first course includes spinach salad, chorizo a la planxa and padron peppers. But save room, because the second course ushers in the pig out, as well as rosemary white beans, roasted fingerling potatoes, and garbanzos a la catalana. If, after all that, you're still hankering for more, dessert of bacon shortbread and nutella cookies will finish this epic meal off.
