Onion Dip

Ingredients
  • 6 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 medium onions, diced
  • 8 ounce cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon chopped chives
  • kosher salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions
  1. In a small skillet, melt the butter and add the onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste and caramelized until the onions are a light golden brown, about 25 minutes. Remove the onions from the skillet. Add 1/2 the onions to a food processor with the cream cheese, sour cream, and garlic powder and process until smooth. Fold in the reason of the onions with the chives, season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve.
