You Can Now Order Taco Bell From Your Phone
Taco Bell just made a pretty big announcement: mobile ordering is now here. With the introduction of the new, free Taco Bell app, available for the iPhone and Android, T-Bell enthusiasts will be able to get their quesarito fix by customizing, ordering, and paying for their food online. All you have to do is go to your local store and pick up your order, either in-store, or through the drive-thru.
Taco Bell is the first quick-service restaurant (a.k.a. fast-food joint), to offer this new technology. One can only assume that other fast food giants will soon follow suit.
"Today as food culture changes and generations grow up with smart phones, our customers seek restaurant experiences that fit their lifestyle," said Brian Niccol, president, Taco Bell Corp. "Our new mobile ordering app is just the beginning of how we're using technology to break down the walls of our restaurants and become more transparent with our customers about our food."
The app gives customers access to every single Taco Bell ingredient on hand at their local franchise, to create their own "loco" customizations. Plus, in case you decide that you're craving two Doritos Locos instead of just one, you can "rotate to re-order," meaning that with a flick of the wrist your smart phone becomes a magic wand, dispensing tacos at your whim and command.
We can't wait for the Taco Bell delivery service. Until then, we'll just patiently sit by with our Seamless accounts and wait hungrily.
