Watch Stephen Colbert Take On Doritos-Flavored Mountain Dew

Stephen Colbert admits that he was once a "Dew Doubter." But now apparently, he believes in the power of Dewitos: the Doritos-flavored Mountain Dew beverage that PepsiCo is testing out right now on college campuses.In this hilarious clip, Colbert appears flabbergasted by this new drinkable snack innovation, likening it to a smart alternative to waiting until the AMC employees aren't around at the movie theater to put your mouth directly under the nacho cheese dispenser.

Colbert quips, "you were right stoners; Frito-Lay can hear your thoughts," and waxes poetic about our role as "flavornauts exploring the outer reaches of the Milky Way, which is now available as a nasal spray."

The new wacky drink caught the satirical eye of the Colbert Report, but also sounds somewhat like the subject of an Onion article. But the product is all real. The first tasters have been a bit skeptical; one Kent State student said it was "the weirdest thing [he] had ever drunken [sic]." Whether it was a Freudian slip or not, the Kent State student has a point about the best state of mind to be in while drinking Doritos-flavored soda.
