The "build-your-own" personal pizza chain, described as the Chipotle of pizzas, is eyeing a NoMad flagship location, as well as four more locations to span the five boroughs.
"New Yorkers have an ingrained pizza culture but we see an opportunity," Anthony Carron, 800 Degrees co-creator, said in a press release. "There are a lot of $1 slice joints and expensive boutique pizzerias. We have an unusual mix of authentic Neapolitan pizza with fresh, amazing ingredients, fast service, and an incredible price for the quality. We believe 800 Degrees will be as big a hit in New York as it has been in California."
This will be the first 800 Degrees outside of California; Umami Restaurant Group is also scouting locations in Hollywood, Studio City, Orange County, San Diego, and more.
