SNL's Jay Pharoah Will Give Out Gum To Battle Coffee Breath
On Monday, September 29, also known as National Coffee Day, Saturday Night Live cast member Jay Pharoah will team up with Orbit in New York City for a free gum giveaway. Jay, along with "a team of gum aficionados" will be in the streets of New York with a truck full of sugar-free Orbit gum, all the better to help coffee lovers get rid of their coffee breath.
According to a 2012 study conducted by healthcare start-up Massive Health, New Yorkers drink between six and seven times more coffee than residents of other major American cities. That's a lot of coffee breath to deal with.
"There's no better place for Orbit to surprise commuters with a National Coffee Day celebration, featuring sugar-free gum for everyone after they enjoy their morning coffee," said John Starkey, vice president of Gum & Mints at Wrigley.
From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST, Jay Pharoah and Orbit gum will be in and around Union Square Park, offering free gum and the chance to win a year's supply of Orbit gum, by following the sweepstakes on Twitter.
