NYCWFF: Dale's Dim Sum Party At Buddakan
Buddakan's massive, two-story interior was home on Sunday to Dale's Dim Sum Party, a hip and collaborative interpretation of the Chinese brunch staple, hosted by Dale Talde (Talde, Pork Slope, Thistle Hill Tavern).
In addition to Budakkan's own Yang Huang and Brian Ray, New York City chefs from the kitchens of Pig & Khao, Telepan Local, Xi'an Famous Foods, The Meatball Shop, and All'onda contributed playful interpretations of dim sum dishes, and other small bites.

Talde's own dish was a shrimp shumai dumpling with Old Bay-seasoned Chinese sausage and corn, Jason Wang's team brought Xi'an Famous Foods' familiar spicy and sour lamb dumplings, and Telepan's team brought another classic, foie gras jammers.
Talde also used the opportunity to debut a few items from his upcoming restaurant in Jersey City, Carrino Provisions.
