This Genius Bakery Stuffed A Snickers Bar Into A Doughnut
From cronuts, to wonuts (that's waffle-doughnut hybrid), and Kripsy Kreme's new offering of a box of 2,400 doughnuts, over-the-top doughnuts are definitely having a deep-fried moment in the sun. Well California Donuts, a doughnut chain based out of Los Angeles, may have just kicked it up a notch with their Snickers doughnut. The Snickers doughnut literally stuffs an entire Snickers bar into a doughnut that's already been deep-fried and topped with chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, and iced with a maple glaze.
The doughnut is one of California Donuts' most popular offerings on Yelp, but unfortunately, the candy-doughnut fusion only pops up on California specialty menus every once in awhile, but since Halloween is peak-Snickers season, we imagine that California residents will be able to taste them sometime soon.
In case you're wondering, you can also get Lucky Charms doughnuts, Fruity Pebbles doughnuts, and little adorable doughnuts shaped like panda bears at the same shop.
