Full Menu And Pitmaster Roster For The Big Apple Barbecue
The barbecue menu and full pitmaster list for the upcoming 12th annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party has been announced, along with the event programming for the full weekend of June 7th and 8th.
As always, the festival will feature expertly prepared barbecue and regional delicacies, from renowned pitmasters from all over the country. The full menu is as follows:
Ed Mitchell Que (Durham, NC) — Whole Hog and All Natural Whole Turkey
Mike Mills: 17th Street Bar & Grill (Murphysboro, IL) — Baby Back Ribs
Chris Lilly: Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q (Decatur, AL) — Pulled Pork Shoulder
Jean-Paul Bourgeois: Blue Smoke (New York, NY) — Louisiana Andouille and Chow Chow
Charles Grund, Jr: Hill Country (New York, NY) — Beef Brisket
Joe Duncan: Baker's Ribs (Dallas, TX) — St. Louis Style Ribs
Mike Emerson: Pappy's Smokehouse (St. Louis, MO) — Baby Back Ribs

Sweets from Pitmaster Joe Duncan's legendary, Original Fried Pie Shop (Dallas, TX) include Apple, Blackberry, Cherry, and Peach Fried Pies.
The weekend's events will also include cooking demonstrations, live music, and free giveaways. Admission to the BABBQBP is free, but barbecue fans can also purchase a FastPass, which provides $100 to spend on barbecue and sides, plus access to the express line.
For the first time in the history of the festival, fans can also purchase the BigPiggin' VIP Pass, which provides additional ammenities like lounge seating and catered Southern fare from Union Square Events. Tickets are available online.
