Trader Joe's Will Open A Store In Williamsburg
If you've ever been to a Trader Joe's in New York City, you know that it's never a pleasant experience, with lines that almost always start at the entrance to the store. So a new location might not be such a bad idea.
Trader Joe's will open a location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn — the second outpost in Brooklyn, following the Cobble Hill store, which debuted in 2008.
The new Williamsburg store does not have an exact opening date as of yet, but it will be located at 206 Kent Avenue between North Third Street and Metropolitan Avenue. Alliance Private Capital purchased the Kent Avenue lot back in January 2014.
Trader Joe's is not the only supermarket chain with its eye on Williamsburg. A Whole Foods location is slated to open in spring 2016 on Bedford Avenue and North Fourth Street and has been under construction since 2012 (let's just hope they don't overcharge their customers).
