A Dairy Queen Drive-Thru Is Headed To Williamsburg
New York City is about to get its first-ever Dairy Queen with a drive-thru.
The new chain will open at 27 Graham Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (the neighborhood that will also be home to a future Trader Joe's), but no exact date has been announced.
This will be the third Dairy Queen in New York City. The other two are at Union Square and Corona, Queens, and the Union Square location opened just last summer. It is peculiar that Dairy Queen has decided to make the Williamsburg outpost a drive-thru location — most drive-thru fast food places are either in Queens, Long Island, or Staten Island, such as the Sonic Drive-In that's coming soon to that borough.
Orange Julius, which is owned by Dairy Queen, does not have a location in New York City yet, despite the fact that, in 1964, Orange Julius was the official drink of the World's Fair in Queens, New York.
We've reached out to Dairy Queen for comment.
