The Daily Meal's New Product Round-Up: May 7, 2014
This week's product round-up includes patriotic Tic Tacs inspired by the ice cream man, chocolates to fortify you during the search for Waldo, cute cakes in mason jars from the Ace of Cakes himself, and more!
Maya Kaimal Chickpea Chips: Cookbook author and Indian cuisine expert Maya Kaimal's Chickpea Chips mixed with rice and sesame seeds are a modern approach to murukku, a popular South Indian snack. Chickpea Chips come in three flavors: Seeded Multigrain, Lightly Salted, and Sweet Chili.
Limited Edition Summer Ice Pop Tic Tacs: These new Tic Tacs are not only patriotic, but taste pretty convincingly like the classic Firecracker ice pops from the ice cream man. The limited edition Summer Ice Pop mints come in three flavors, one for each color. Blue is berry, red is cherry, and white is lime, but you probably already knew that from all the Firecrackers you've eaten since childhood.
New Planters Peanut Flavors: Planters has introduced four new flavored peanut varieties to snack on as part of Mr. Peanut's new "Power of the Peanut" campaign celebrating the nutritional benefits of the humble peanut. The new flavors are salted caramel, cocoa, smoked, and chipotle, for lovers of both sweet and savory.
Mother's Day Chocolates from Francois Payard Patisserie: Francois Payard has created a selection of personalized chocolates for Mother's Day, including the Picture Frame Chocolate Collection that allows you to deliver your picture of choice along with a nine-piece box of chocolates featuring flavors like Earl Grey tea, vanilla rum, and chocolate caramel. Other gift ideas include a macaron collection, assorted financiers, and a selection of teas from Sloan Fine Tea Merchants.
Limited Edition Where's Waldo All Natural Chocolate Bars from Praim: Following the success of the four original Where's Waldo designs originally launched in 2013, Praim has increased production to include seven chocolate bars. The three new additions are designed for Easter, Halloween, and Valentine's Day.
