Crinkle- Cut Fries Are Back At Shake Shack

Back by popular demand are Shake Shack's crinkle-cut fries. Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti announced that the popular burger chain is making the permanent switch from boring, straight, fresh-cut fries to the beloved original crinkle-cut fries customers adore. "The fans have spoken!" Shake Shack announced today on Instagram.

The news of the French fry change of heart first came about in August when Shake Shack announced that after switching from crinkle cut to regular-cut fries for a year, they are swinging back to the original recipe because fans have been asking. It turns out that fried spuds in the wrong shape can really shake up a fan base.

Supposedly though, they're better than ever: "your favorite fry will be just as you left it, but will now be free from the artificial ingredients that so many frozen fries include; ingredients we know we can live without. Our team is working with farmers over the next few months to source the best spuds in the upcoming harvest."
