Cosme Soft-Opens Tonight, Accepting Same-Day Reservations

Cosme, the eagerly anticipated New York City restaurant from Mexican chef Enrique Olvera, has just announced on Twitter that it will be soft opening beginning tonight, October 21, until October 25.

To get a sneak peek of the innovative high-profile restaurant, guests must make same-day reservations by emailing sg@cosmenyc.com.

Previously, the Flatiron restaurant announced an opening date of October 28, and only revealed the soft opening this morning.

Olvera, whose Mexico City restaurant Pujol has garnered considerable international acclaim and is listed as #20 on San Pellegrino's World's Best Restaurants list, received his culinary training in New York at the Culinary Institute of America.

The chef told The New York Times that it was an early dinner at Le Bernardin that changed his life, and though he wants to emulate that level of food at his own New York City restaurant, the prices will be considerably more accessible. A simple tortilla, with a piece of avocado and salt, for example, will be less than a dollar.
